SB 337 -- ST. CHARLES COUNTY AMBULANCE DISTRICT

SPONSOR:  Rupp (Smith, 14)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Local Government by a vote of 13 to 0.

This bill extends for one additional year the current term for
the director of subdistrict six of the St. Charles County
Ambulance District.  Thereafter, the director's term will be
three years.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2010, FY 2011, and
FY 2012.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill is necessary to
maintain the properly staggered terms of the directors of the St.
Charles County Ambulance District which became out of proper
sequence as a result of a vacancy on the board being filled by a
special election.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Rupp; and St. Charles County
Ambulance District.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
